The Cross Makes All Things Possible
OPENING PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, help us to grasp the depth of what You accomplished on the cross. May we live in the freedom and possibility that Your sacrifice provides. Amen.
"Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own."
Philippians 3:12-14 (ESV)
REFLECT:
The cross is the pivotal point of history, where all things became possible through Jesus. The message highlighted how Paul's life was transformed by this truth, driving him to press on towards the goal of knowing Christ fully. Our guest speaker, Julie Bullock shared how the cross makes all things new, offering us a fresh start and a new identity in Christ.
This passage speaks to the ongoing journey of faith. Paul acknowledges that he hasn't arrived but is pressing on, motivated by the reality that Christ has made him His own. The message encouraged us to live with this same determination, recognizing that our past does not define us. Instead, we are defined by the cross and the new life it offers.
Reflect on the areas of your life where you need to press on, trusting in the transformative power of the cross. The message reminded us that we are not alone in this journey; we are part of a community of believers who are also pressing on towards the goal. Let this be a time of renewed commitment to the path Christ has set before you.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will give boldly because all things are possible through Jesus. Is there one area you can identify where you need to press on in your faith journey? Commit to taking a step forward, trusting in the power of the cross to make all things possible.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Thank You, Jesus, for the cross and the new life it brings. Help us to press on in our faith, trusting in Your power and grace. Amen.
