The Heartbeat of Heaven

OPENING PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, tune our hearts to beat in rhythm with Yours. May we love others as You have loved us, with compassion and understanding.

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you."

John 15:12 (NIV)

REFLECT:

In the message, Pastor Carter spoke of the divine command to love as Jesus loves us. This is the heartbeat of heaven — a love that is selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional. Jesus’ command is not a suggestion but a mandate for those who follow Him. It’s a call to reflect His love in every relationship and interaction.

The conversation with Raysha, Justin, and Weston highlighted the importance of this command. Each of them shared experiences of feeling judged or misunderstood by Christians. Yet, they also expressed appreciation for genuine acts of kindness and understanding. This is a powerful reminder that love is not just a feeling but an action that requires us to step out of our comfort zones and engage with those around us.

Reflect on your relationships. Are they marked by the love of Christ? Pastor Carter encouraged us to be intentional in extending love to those who may feel marginalized or overlooked. This is how we reflect the heart of God and bring His kingdom to earth.

Let this command challenge you to love more deeply and authentically. As you do, you’ll find that your life becomes a reflection of the heartbeat of heaven, drawing others to the love of Christ. .

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will intentionally listen to someone outside my usual circle, seeking to understand their perspective and show them God's love through my attentiveness.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for loving us with an everlasting love. Help us to reflect Your heart in our relationships, loving others as You have loved us. May our lives be a testament to Your grace. Amen.
