Living a New Life

OPENING PRAYER:

Loving Father, as we seek Your presence today, fill us with Your Spirit so that we may live out the new life You have given us. Empower us to be beacons of Your love and truth, sharing the hope of Christ with those around us. Amen.

READ: Romans 6:4 (NIV)

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

Paul explains the significance of baptism as a symbol of dying to our old selves and rising to new life in Christ. This passage underscores the theme of living a transformed life.

Romans 6:4 (NIV)

REFLECT:

In his message, Pastor Carter calls us to live out the new life we have in Christ. Paul’s words to the Romans remind us that baptism is not just a ritual but a powerful symbol of our transformation. Just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too are called to live a new life, empowered by His Spirit.

Todd included Becky Day’s story as a beautiful example of what it means to live a new life in Christ. Her journey from despair to hope is a testament to the power of God’s transformative work. As we reflect on her story, we are reminded that God’s grace is sufficient to bring about change in our lives.

Living a new life means embracing our identity as children of God and walking in His ways. It means allowing His Spirit to guide us and empower us to live out our faith. Reflect on how you can live out your new life in Christ. Identify one practical way you can demonstrate His love and grace to those around you.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the new life You have given me in Christ. Help me to live out this transformation and reflect Your love to the world. May my life be a testimony of Your grace and power. Amen.
