The Power of Resurrection

OPENING PRAYER:

Gracious God, as we open up Your Word today, may we be filled with awe at the power of the resurrection. Open our eyes to see the new life You offer us through Jesus. Amen.

READ: Ephesians 1:19-20 (NIV)

And his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms."

Paul writes to the Ephesians about the incredible power available to believers, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. This passage underscores the theme of resurrection power that is accessible to us.

REFLECT:

Pastor Carter’s Easter message highlights that the resurrection of Jesus is not just a historical event but a source of power for our lives today. Paul’s words to the Ephesians remind us that this power is not distant or unattainable; it is available to all who believe. The same power that conquered death is at work in us, enabling us to overcome the challenges and brokenness we face.

In his message, Todd shares Becky Day’s story, and we see how this resurrection power brought her from a place of despair to one of hope and joy. Her transformation was not through her own strength but through the power of God working in her life. This is a powerful reminder that we do not have to rely on our own abilities to experience change; God’s power is sufficient.

Reflect on the areas of your life where you feel powerless. Remember that God’s resurrection power is available to you. Trust in His strength to bring about the change you desire.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Father, thank You for the resurrection power that is at work in my life. Help me to rely on Your strength and not my own. May Your power bring about transformation in every area of my life. Amen.
