Embracing the Impossible
OPENING PRAYER:
Lord, open our eyes to see Your power at work in our lives. Help us to believe in the impossible through Your strength. Amen.
"For no word from God will ever fail."
Luke 1:37 (NIV)
REFLECT:
The angel's assurance to Mary that "no word from God will ever fail" is a powerful reminder of God's omnipotence. In the sermon, the pastor emphasized that God acts when things seem impossible. Mary's situation seemed insurmountable, yet she trusted in God's promise. This theme resonates with the pastor's story of his family's fear during a medical emergency, where they were reminded of God's faithfulness. In our own lives, we often face situations that seem beyond our control. Yet, the Christmas story teaches us that God specializes in the impossible. Our role is to trust in His promises and remain faithful, even when the outcome is uncertain. By embracing God's power and sovereignty, we can find peace and hope in the midst of life's challenges.
APPLY:
Consider a situation in your life that feels impossible. Pray for God's intervention and trust in His ability to work beyond what you can see.
I WILL STATEMENT:
