His Commandments Lead Us In Complete Dependence To Jesus

OPENING PRAYER:

Dear Jesus, help me depend on you to help me live a life of obedience and I trust you because you have already lived a perfect life in my place. Amen.

READ: Hebrews 4:15, Romans 8:1

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Hebrews 4:15, Romans 8:1

REFLECT:

Have you ever had someone that you could trust completely? Maybe it was a friend, a coworker or family member that you felt you could share anything with them. You could trust them no matter what to be there for you.

In this way we can trust Jesus not only with our lives but to do what He says He’ll do. The reason Jesus is trustworthy is because He lived a perfect life in our place, and He bore the weight of sin for us. Jesus knows how we feel, he knows what we want, and he can empathize with us

APPLY:

Jesus will always lead us to trust Him more and surrender more and what happens when we do this is we experience shame, guilt and condemnation disappear.

How can you begin to depend on Jesus more today? Do you trust Him financially? Do you trust Him with your relationships? The thing to remember today is this: I can trust and depend on Jesus because he already lived a perfect life in my place.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Jesus, I trust you and I depend on you. Lead me closer to you and help me increase my dependence on you. Amen.
