Pathway Family,
I hope you’re enjoying the start of fall-it’s one of my favorite times of year! Cooler weather, football, and maybe even a pumpkin spice latte or two (not that I’m into that kind of thing…).
What I’ve really loved this season, though, is seeing how our church family has continued to lean into the mission of Jesus and the heart of God. Jesus said He came for the sick, not the healthy, and I’m so thankful He was talking about people like you and me.
All throughout our OneLife series, we’ve been reminded that once we’ve been found by Jesus, He invites us to join Him in finding others. Reaching people for Jesus isn’t complicated, it’s about friendship, listening to stories, and walking alongside someone as they take their next step toward God. And it all begins with prayer. I love knowing that every Wednesday at 1:54 p.m., more than 700 of us are pausing to pray for our “one.” That’s a powerful picture of what it means to be the church.
And as we pray, we’re seeing God at work, stories of life-change are happening everywhere! If you want to keep growing in how to share your faith naturally, we’re hosting OneLife Trainings at every campus to help you take that next step. To find out more and register, you can click here.
This fall also brings some great opportunities to invite others in. Our Fall Harvest Parties are coming up October 18–19 at every campus. Each one will have its own spin, but you can count on great food, fun, and everything that makes fall the best season. More than that, it’s an easy, meaningful way to invite someone to church for the first time. Your simple invite could open the door to a whole new beginning for someone.
And just around the corner, we’ll launch a brand-new series called All Things Possible on October 25–26. God has done incredible things through the first year of All Things New, and as we reach the halfway point of this two-year journey, we want to take time to celebrate and refocus on what’s ahead. This will be a powerful season for our church family, and I want to encourage you to be part of it, not just on weekends, but by joining a group and using our custom groups discussion guide during the series. We’ll even have a special large group on Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m., open to everyone and led by our Executive Pastor, Rodney Elliott.
I’m so grateful for you and the way you’re helping us live out our mission together. I’m praying for you, and for all of us, as we keep pursuing the mission Jesus has given us.
With gratitude,
Pastor Todd Carter
