OPENING QUESTIONS:
  1. How did you do last week with your "I will" statement? (I will talk to someone about my generosity.)
  2. What is one thing that you are thankful for from last week?
  3. What is something that was stressful or difficult this week and how can we help?
IN THE WORD:

Read John 6:1-13 NLT out loud.

  1. Have two people in the group retell the story in their own words.
  2. What do you think it was like to be in the crowd of people watching Jesus perform miracles?
  3. What does this teaching tell us about God?
  4. What does this teaching tell us about people?

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
  1. What are hurdles believers might face when being generous?
  2. Share a time that you’ve seen God provide in a new or unexpected way.
  3. Are there areas of your life where you need to quit trusting yourself and begin trusting God?
  4. How can we pray for you and for each other as we seek to be generous this week?
