  3. The Shema gives us a pattern.
  4. Jesus showed the way.
SCRIPTURE: Deuteronomy 6:4-9 NIV
OPENING QUESTIONS:
  1. Were you in a desert last week or were you helping someone else in a desert? How did your week go?
  2. What is one thing that you are thankful for from last week?
  3. What is something that was stressful or difficult this week and how can we help?

IN THE WORD:
  1. Read Deuteronomy 6:4-9 from two different translations.
  2. Have two people in the group retell these instructions from Moses in their own words.
