Grace in Every Conversation
OPENING PRAYER:
Father, fill our words with grace and truth. May our conversations reflect Your love and draw others closer to You.
"Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."
Colossians 4:5-6 (NIV)
REFLECT:
The message emphasized the importance of grace-filled conversations. Paul instructs us to be wise and to make the most of every opportunity with those who do not yet know Christ. Our words should be full of grace, seasoned with salt, meaning they should be both kind and truthful.
Pastor Jarred Peine shared how grace draws people in and is contagious. He reminded us that grace should be present in all our interactions, not just when it's easy. This is a call to be intentional with our words, ensuring they reflect the love and truth of Christ. The story of John, who was shown grace despite his rough edges, illustrates the transformative power of grace-filled interactions.
Reflect on your own conversations. Are they full of grace? Do they point others to Jesus? Jarred challenged us to avoid draining life with judgment or criticism and instead to speak life with encouragement and truth. This balance of grace and truth is essential in our witness to others.
As we interact with those around us, let us be mindful of our words. May they be a reflection of Christ's love, drawing others to Him and opening doors for deeper conversations about faith.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will take my next step to reach my ONE this week. One way to do this is to intentionally interact with those around us, being mindful of our words. May they be a reflection of Christ's love, drawing others to Him and opening doors for deeper conversations about faith.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of words. Help us to use them wisely, filling our conversations with grace and truth. May our words be a reflection of Your love. Amen.
