Peace through Jesus’ Death

OPENING PRAYER:

Father God, Thank you so much for the chance to express your truth on digital devices and spread your love. Amen

READ: Romans 5:1, Colossians 1:19-20, Ephesians 2:13-18

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

“For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” Colossians 1:19-20

“ But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.” Ephesians 2:13-18

REFLECT:

There was a time when we were all destined to be lost to our sins and remain enemies of God and so powerless. But at the right time, God has sent us a savior to wash away our pain and sins. Jesus Christ died for the ungodly. And it is through that event, God demonstrates how much he loves us. He loves us even when we don’t deserve it. So it is because of that, we can all have peace in our heavenly father through Jesus. Because it is through Christ that we can reconcile with God.
