The Same Power That Raised Jesus From the Dead Lives Inside You

OPENING PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I pray I would be open to your leading today as you guide through your word. Amen.

READ: Ephesians 1:18-20

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, Ephesians 1:18-20

REFLECT:

The verses above illustrate for us the power that God has and what that power means for us. When we become a believer we get an inheritance that’s called the Holy Spirit. That’s God’s presence, his power living inside of you.

Every person who has faith in Jesus has been given the power of God’s presence. God has never left us or abandoned us no matter what we go through in life.

APPLY:

Have you ever thought about what God’s power means for you personally? Because God is with you, you don’t have to go through life living in fear, doubt or worry. You can take comfort in the promise that God is with you and he sees you.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power that lives inside of you. Because of this you can have joy when things seem joyless. Peace when things are chaotic. Hope when it looks hopeless and strength when you feel weak.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Dear Jesus, help me walk in your presence today. Help me understand the strength to persevere that I have in you. Amen.
