Parent & Child Dedications

Parent & Child dedications are a public commitment before God, the church, and your family. It provides you, the parent, an opportunity to publicly express your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child; for them to grow to love God and love others.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

We're reminded in Deuteronomy that parents are the spiritual leaders of their children. In addition, our role as a church family is to walk alongside and assist and provide support.

Upon registration, you will receive an email with more detailed instructions for the dedication. There is some work for you as parents to do at home, just to prompt you to be thinking about what it means to dedicate your child and who you would like to support you in this journey. That Sunday morning, you will just come and celebrate with all your friends and family as we pray over you and your child. You will not be asked to speak in front of the congregation so please don’t let that intimidate you! There will be a photo opportunity and a small gift from us that we would like to present to you that morning.
